Drying and Mixing

The drying and mixing unit comprises of a long cylindrical drum. Before rock aggregate is mixed with other ingredients to make Hot Mix Asphalt, it is thoroughly dried. The drying and mixing process can be accomplished with one piece of equipment. Mixing takes place in a continuous process. The dryer is accurately fabricated to ensure proper heating of aggregates with minimum heat loss. The heart of the drum, called ‘Flights‘, are designed in a way to produce a uniform veil of virgin aggregate across the entire drum, regardless of the plant’s production rate.
